In English we have the phrase “Have/Has + V3″ to express a past experience stating that someone has had the experience of doing something. In Korean language, we use “ActionVerb (으)ㄴ 일이 있다” to express that someone has had the experience. While its counterpart, “ActionVerb (으)ㄴ 일이 없다” states the reverse, stating that someone hasn’t had the experience of doing something.
Examples:
- buy == 사다
남대문 시장에서 검퓨터를 산 일이 있어요.
(I have bought computer in Namdaemun market) - learn == 배우다
전에 외국어를 배운 일이 있어요???
(Have you ever learned any foreign language before?) - withdraw (money) == 찾다
은행에서 돈을 찾은 일이 없어요.
(I have never withdrawn many from the bank)
Thanks for visiting guys.
Hope that few lines of sentences will help somehow.
best regards,
